How do pop artists like Justin bieber and lady gaga become so popular? I don't get how pop artists become popular so quickly. Bands with actual talent have to get noticed by other companies through playing gigs and getting noticed which is really hard these days. Then a 13 year old Justin bieber comes out of nowhere and tops the charts. How exactly do they get popular so quickly.

It's the way the record companies market them. Someone like Bieber or gaga gets their face on every billboard across the world, plus loads or airtime on radios and music channels. Good bands aren't so commercial.

I'm not a hermit, of course I have heard her sing. She has talent sure, but many singers have more talent than her, just not the break and huge push by a record company like she has had.

im not raging, but you simply can't deny she has an amazing voice, instead of looking at her wacky outfits, watch some video's where she just sits and sings at the piano

Well then, to each their own. Being a metalhead, It's impossible for me to recognize any talent whatsoever by her.

Fair enough, it just bugs me when people deny other artist's greatness because they have a different music taste

I'm not trying to start a discussion again but there are quite alot of great bands out there which I simply dislike. I recognize the talent but they don't satisfy me in comparison to me personal types. When it comes to Lady Gaga and similar artists though, I fail to see any sort of redeeming qualities. Maybe it's just the extreme difference between my tastes and her work.
