At the beginning of Sonic Youth's cover of "Hotwire My Heart" on their Sister album, one of the members burps during the intro. I like to think it's Kim Gordon, but it could very well be one of the male members.

I know I'm necroing here, but I just thought this was relevant:

The new Foul Chicks video features some burping musicians in an all-female band (though the band isn't well known by any means). Of course, since this is a Foul Chicks video, the first minute or so is basically a compilation of farts (personally that happens to be my thing, but if you're not into it, just skip over it) and there's a couple fart scenes after they finish playing their song.

Anyway, the last question in the interview (starting at 7:49 if you just wanna skip ahead) "Would you fart for a good cause?" sparks a discussion that leads to the singer mentioning she can burp on command and then she does so a few times and their drummer starts burping as well.
